Northern Virginia Weekend Weather: Autumn Calling

STERLING, VA — With minimal effects from the remnants of Hurricane Irma not expected until next week if at all, the weekend forecast for Northern Virginia is shaping up to be downright delightful, according to the local headquarters of the National Weather Service. We're talking about abundant sunshine with non-stifling highs during the day and crisp temperatures at night.

Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny with highs in the low 70s and dipping to the low 50s in the evening. Pretty much the same thing is expected Sunday. Both days will feature light winds. Tuesday: A chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 70. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

Tuesday Night: Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

Wednesday: A chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 77. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
