Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast is calling for something we haven't experienced in what seems like eons.

STERLING, VA—What better way to wrap up the elongated Fourth of July weekend than with an official weekend free of the stupefying humidity that for days has dogged the Northern Virginia area? That's exactly what we're expected to see, according to the National Weather Service and area forecasting outlets.
Not only that, but the word from the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang predicts that "plenty of spots may struggle to get to 80 on Saturday. Skies will be mostly sunny and humidity close to nonexistent." So there you go. Look for Sunday to deliver more of the same.
