Northern Virginia Weekend Weather: Hazardous Beginning

STERLING, VA—Before the good comes the bad. Namely, Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast calls for a relatively delightful two days but not before a freeze warning issued for Friday night by the National Weather Service reminds us this had been one weird spring.

Or, as the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang bluntly puts it: "Clear skies conspire with falling winds to deliver another cold night for the time of year." Even so, while not ideal, Saturday and Sunday are expected to offer plenty of sunshine—albeit with temperatures in the low 60s.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 61. Northwest wind around 7 mph.

Saturday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 42. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunday: Partly sunny, with a high near 62. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 44. Southeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm after midnight.

Monday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 64.

Monday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 47. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
