Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast calls for one stunning day of sunshine but then a question of when the rain makes an entrance.

STERLING, VA—Northern Virginia's weekend weather forecast offers a twist from those of recent vintage: no mention of snow but plenty of tidings for warm temperatures with highs above 80—tempered by high winds at times. That's the word from the National Weather Service's local outlet in Sterling and other area forecasting entities.
In other words, a beautiful spring Saturday. But that's all before an ongoing storm out there begins to find us Sunday: From the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang: "When it reaches the Mid-Atlantic late Sunday, it may bring widespread rainfall totals exceeding 1 inch — very welcome news for our parched Washington region."
