STERLING, VA — If the first weekend of June could serve as something of a harbinger for the rest of the summer, folks in Northern Virginia undoubtedly would applaud. That's the word from the area branch of the National Weather Service in Sterling. Weekends such as the one we're expected to have should be bottled.
Saturday is expected to provide plenty of sunshine with highs near 80 and but scant winds. Then comes Sunday, albeit with a potential for early morning rain. After that, though, the forecast call for mostly sunny skies with highs in the mid 80s.
