Northern Virginia Weekend Weather: Suddenly, Snow
Northern Virginia's weather forecast is showing a nice beginning to the Easter weekend but then there's the tiresome specter of snow.
STERLING, VA—It seems downright unfair to have a weekend—Easter weekend, no less—not be as enjoyable as were Friday and especially Thursday. But that nonetheless is the case, according to the National Weather Service's area outpost in Sterling and other forecasting outlets. Not only that, but snow—yes, snow—is in the equation.
Saturday is expected to offer the best conditions, with plenty of sunshine and highs in the upper 50s to low 60s. Then comes a mostly cloudy Sunday and, according to the Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang: "Friday’s weather models have become more enthusiastic about the chance of snow and sleet late Sunday night into early Monday morning, mainly in colder areas north and west of Washington."
Even so, whatever white stuff falls isn't likely to add up to much. So there you go. Here's the detailed forecast from the National Weather Service:

Friday Night: Mostly cloudy, then gradually becoming clear, with a low around 37. Northwest wind 8 to 16 mph, with gusts as high as 24 mph.
Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 60. Calm wind becoming south 5 to 9 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Increasing clouds, with a low around 45. South wind 11 to 13 mph.
Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
Sunday Night: A chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Monday: Partly sunny, with a high near 52.
Monday Night: A chance of rain after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
Tuesday: A chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
