Oktoberfest 2016 in Fredericksburg Saturday: Times, Street Closures, Map and More
Block party features beer, brats, dancing, live polka music and activities for kids (who must be accompanied by an adult for entry).

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — If beer, brats, dancing and live bands blaring polka music rolled into a frolicking block party make one's heart atwitter, then downtown Fredericksburg is the place to be Saturday.
It's the Capital Ale Annual Oktoberfest, running from noon-10 p.m. (with Capital Ale open until 1:30 a.m.) in the 800 and 900 blocks of Caroline Street.
Live music and entertainment includes Low N’ Brows at noon, Johnny Koenig at 3:30 and the Fritz Polka Band at 7:30.

VIP tickets are available but otherwise admission is $3, with varying prices and deals for the more than 100 brands of craft and imported beer.
The aforementioned blocks of Caroline Street will be closed to through traffic, as will the 100 and 200 blocks of George Street, from 4 a.m. Saturday-2 a.m. Sunday, according to city officials.
