Owner Steals Repossessed Truck in Stafford: Police

A repossessed Nissan already was on a tow truck, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, when the owner drove it off the truck.

STAFFORD, VA — So a guy shows up to repossess a white Nissan pickup and loads it onto his tow truck Wednesday night. But then the owner of the Nissan protests, gets in the vehicle and drives it off the tow truck before speeding away toward Interstate 95 South, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.

But this tow truck driver was having none of that. He called police and then followed the Nissan ont0 I-95 South, where it eventually exited, headed west on Courthouse Road and was caught by police near Colonial Forge High School, 550 Courthouse Road.

David J. Schneider, 35, of Whitestone, was charged with reckless driving and hit and run.
