Pedestrian Dies After Struck By VRE Train
Virginia State Police investigating scene. VRE and Amtrak trains were delayed for hours.
A pedestrian on the tracks early Monday morning was struck and killed by a VRE train.
At 5:20 a.m. Monday, Virginia State Police responded to the scene in Stafford County.
One track opened just before 8 a.m., according to a VRE release. Fredericksburg-bound trains will run an “S” schedule Monday afternoon.
