Pedestrian Hit and Killed In Stafford County: Police
A pedestrian was hit and killed early Wednesday morning on Route 1 in Stafford County, according to Virginia State Police.
STAFFORD, VA—A pedestrian was hit and killed early Wednesday morning in the 2700 block of Jefferson Davis Highway (Route 1) in Stafford County, according to Virginia State Police. Marco A. Bevilacqua, 34, of Fairfax, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Shortly after 5 a.m., a Chevrolet Impala was headed south on Route 1 in the left lane when it came upon a man dressed in all black standing in the lane. The driver was unable to safely maneuver past, and the pedestrian was hit.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 52-year-old Stafford County man, wasn't injured. No charges will be filed.
