The suspect, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office, shot at another vehicle after getting into an argument with its occupants.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The Stafford County Sheriff's Office arrested a Fredericksburg man Dec. 29 for firing a gun at another vehicle on Route 17, about two miles northwest of the interchange with Interstate 95, the sheriff's office said Monday. No one was injured in the shooting.
The suspect, 29-year-old Larry Johnson, who was driving a Chevrolet pickup truck, allegedly cut off a vehicle that was leaving the parking lot of a Wawa on Route 17 just before midnight on Dec. 28. Johnson got into an argument with the occupants of the vehicle, the sheriff's office said in a news release. Johnson then followed the vehicle as it was turning from Route 17 onto Celebrate Virginia Parkway, drove alongside the vehicle and allegedly fired a shot after pointing a gun at the vehicle. According to an occupant of the vehicle, Johnson continued driving northwest on Route 17.
After the gunshot, the vehicle approached a Stafford County Sheriff's deputy, who was on patrol in the area of 550 Celebrate Virginia Parkway, at about 11:57 p.m. on Dec. 28, and one of the occupants told the deputy about the incident.
