Police: Armed Robber in White Makeup Caught
Nine months after Shell station robbery, Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office says it has the suspect in custody.

SPOTSYLVANIA, VA — Deputies have arrested the suspect in a June 2015 gas station holdup where the suspect wore white makeup to conceal his identity, according to Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office.
Corey Ortega Banks, of Fredericksburg, is charged with robbery, according to court records. His next hearing is March 16.

The robbery was in the early morning on June 2 at the 4-Mile Fork Shell gas station on Jefferson Davis Highway.

The suspect didn’t show a weapon, but he demanded money from the clerk and fled the scene on foot.
Investigators noted at the time that a K-9 unit recovered evidence discarded near the scene.
