Police: Bullets Fired Into Home Across the Street

Suspect was charged with reckless handling of a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

A Fredericksburg man is facing charges after he bullets he allegedly fired ended up in a neighbor’s home across the street, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

The victim, 55, of the 500 block of Dunmore Street, contacted police late Sunday night. He said he’d heard a loud pop and then the sound of glass shattering. He found his patio glass door broken and called 911.

Investigators found tho holes that travelled through a kitchen cabinet and found a spent bullet on the floor inside the home.

They were able to trace the source to a home across the street.

Tony Guadamuz, 22, of Fredericksburg is charged with reckless handling of a firearm and shooting into an occupied dwelling. The weapon was collected for evidence.

Guadamuz was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $7,500 bond.
