Police: Burglars Enter 15 Cars in Fredericksburg (Map)

Incidents over the weekend included several cars that had been left unlocked, according to the Fredericksburg Police Department.

Several vehicle break-ins were reported over the weekend, according to the City of Fredericksburg Police.

Most of the incidents occurred Friday night into Saturday morning in the Braehead Drive area.

Eleven cars in the area were entered, with items taken from seven of cars. Several of the vehicles had been left unlocked, according to police.

Among the stolen items: a laptop, a camera, a projector, running shoes and other items. The running shoes were located nearby, along with property belonging to an unknown individual, according to police.

On Sunday morning, residents of the 1300 block of Sophia Street contacted police because of a similar string of incidents. In all, four neighbors reported that their cars had been rummaged through. Only a quantity of loose change was reported stolen.
