The chase began around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, according to the police report. A Stafford County deputy stopped Brack as she was driving her Chevy Monte Carlo because her passenger was not wearing a seat belt.
The passenger gave a false name to the deputy, the sheriff's office said. The deputy told the passenger to step out of the car, but the passenger asked the Brack to drive away, according to the police report.

Brack fled the traffic stop, driving onto northbound Interstate 95. Brack eventually drove onto U.S. 1, and a deputy intentionally collided with her car, police said.
Brack's Chevy spun out and came to a stop. She tried to surrender, but the passenger slammed on the gas pedal, according to authorities.
"This was a bad idea," the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said.
Another deputy on the scene crashed into the fleeing car and prevented it from escaping. The suspects were then taken into custody. The sheriff's office said there was a dog in their car, but it was not injured during the chase and the crashes.
