Police Chase In Stafford County Sparked I-95 Delays On Monday: Police
A police chase temporarily shut down Interstate 95 in Stafford County on Monday afternoon, the county sheriff's office said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Northbound Interstate 95 has reopened after a chase in Stafford County on Monday afternoon, the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said.
Originally, only one lane of northbound I-95 was open at mile marker 142. All lanes reopened around 2 p.m.
A suspect was taken into custody after the chase, authorities said. The sheriff's office has not publicly named the suspect or announced specific criminal charges.

The chase began just after 1 p.m. on Monday, Major Shawn Kimmitz of the sheriff's office said. A deputy was driving on I-95 when a white SUV passed him on the shoulder. The deputy estimated that the SUV was travelling over 100 mph.
The deputy chased the SUV to mile marker 142. There, the deputy forced the SUV into a jersey wall along the right shoulder, authorities said.
