Police Find Lost Man Before Getting Lost Themselves: SCSO
After deputies found a man lost in the woods Saturday in Stafford, they became lost, themselves, before a police drone was summoned: SCSO.

STAFFORD, VA—After deputies found a man lost in the woods Saturday night near McDuff Park, they became lost, themselves, before a police drone helped direct everyone to safety, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
Police were summoned to Michael Scott Lane after a man called them and said he was lost and that his cell phone battery was nearly dead. Several officers searched the woods before finding the man, who wasn't wearing shoes and said he was cold and dehydrated.
So SCSO deputy Steven Kellam hoisted the man onto his back and began carrying him through the woods. Shortly after 8:30 p.m., the rescuers called the drone team for assistance in finding the most direct way to safety. A drone directed them to the river to wait for a boat from Stafford County Fire and Rescue, and then hovered above them to make sure the boat had their exact location.
