Police: Hit and Run (and Kick) On Lafayette Boulevard

White work van rear-ended Subaru, and had a tough time fleeing the scene, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

Investigators have identified a possible suspect in a hit and run Wednesday afternoon, according to Fredericksburg City Police.

The reported incident was between 5:25 and 6:15 p.m. in the 1200 block of Lafayette Blvd. The victim, 31, of Spotsylvania, told police that his Subaru was rear-ended by a white work van near Kenmore Avenue.

Instead of stopping, the van reportedly attempted to pass the victim’s car on the 2-lane road, but was unable. At one point, as traffic was stopped, the driver of the van allegedly walked up to the Subaru and kicked the driver’s side door.

The suspect then got back in the white van and drove off. Again, police have identified a possible suspect and the investigation continues.
