Police: Man Kicks Out Restaurant's Front Window

Individual jailed after damaging downtown pizza parlor.

A Spotsylvania County man was arrested early Saturday after allegedly kicking out a front window at a pizza parlor in downtown Fredericksburg, according to city police.

The police charged Christopher Stewart, 29, with public intoxication and destruction of property, according to a Fredericksburg police report. He was incarcerated at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under a $1,500 bond.

The police responded at 1:30 a.m. Saturday to Benny Vitali’s restaurant at 722 Caroline St. after witnesses reported they saw a man kick out the front window of the restaurant. Officers located Stewart, who was still in the downtown area.
