Police Pursuit In Stafford Leads To A Dozen Charges For Maryland Man
A man from Maryland was arrested on Friday after he was accused of fleeing from deputies in Stafford County, the sheriff's office said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Police in Stafford County arrested a man on Friday afternoon after a car chase, the sheriff's office said. The man, Justin Gore of Maryland, faces a dozen charges.
The chase began around 2 p.m. on Friday. A deputy said they attempted to stop a speeding driver on U.S. Route 1 near the Stafford County Courthouse. The driver did not pull over, police said.
The driver, who police later identified as Gore, drove northbound. He then hit another vehicle and crashed in Aquia Towne Center, the sheriff's office said. The driver then tried to run away from the crash, but deputies took him into custody, according to the police report. Deputies said they found handguns in Gore's possessions.

Gore was charged with reckless driving, eluding, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of ammunition by a felon, hit and run, DUID, refusal, driving revoked, no seatbelt, failure to obey a traffic light, passing on the shoulder, and open container. He was held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
