Police Search River For Missing Stafford County Man
Authorities in Stafford County have been unable to find a missing man even after enlisting drones, police dogs, and water rescue experts.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A Stafford County man has now been missing for one week. The Stafford County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding him.
The man, 57-year-old David Hartnett, went missing on April 20. Surveillance footage showed him at the Valero near Falmouth Bridge on Sunday.
Authorities said Hartnett has brown hair and green eyes. He is about 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs 240 pounds. He was last seen wearing khaki pants, a red flannel shirt, and red cap.

Detectives searched the Rappahannock River on Wednesday based on information from Hartnett's cell phone data. Authorities deployed firefighters, drones, police dogs, and water rescue technicians. They were unable to find Hartnett.
Hartnett often visits the City of Fredericksburg, including the welcome center, the library, and various downtown businesses.
