Pulled Over? What to Do During a Traffic Stop
Amid recent incidents nationwide, Fredericksburg police and city NAACP chapter combine for a PSA video.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Fredericksburg police and city's NAACP chapter have produced a public-service video to highlight tips about what should be done during traffic stops.
The three-minute video includes information about:
· How officers and drivers should act during a vehicle stop
· How to inform a law enforcement officer if there is a weapon in the vehicle
· What a driver should do if they feel they have been mistreated
· All Fredericksburg Police Officers wear a body camera and are required to activate it during all vehicle stops.

The PSA comes amid national attention on traffic stops that, at times, have gone tragically awry.
Said Fredericksburg police chief David Nye in a release, "“Education is a key component to keeping City residents and its police officers safe. We are proud to partner with the local NAACP chapter on this project and look forward to partnering with them on future projects.”
