Raising Cane's Confirms Opening Date For New Fredericksburg Location
The long-anticipated Raising Cane's restaurant in Fredericksburg has officially announced its grand opening plans.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — After more than a year of anticipation, Raising Cane's has an opening date in Fredericksburg. The chain will open its location on Oct. 31 at 8 a.m.
The grand opening event will feature a chance for 20 people to win free food for a year, according to the Facebook event. The first 100 customers to dine-in will also receive a custom t-shirt.
The restaurant will be located at 3071 Plank Road near Central Park's main entrance. The former Pier 1 Imports building was torn down as construction began in February, Fredericksburg's economic development department said.

The new restaurant will span about 4,000 feet, city officials said.
Raising Cane's specializes in chicken fingers and dipping sauces. "We serve only the most craveable chicken finger meals," the chain says on its website. "It's our one love."

Raising Cane's opened its first restaurant in August, 1996 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The restaurant was named for founder Todd Grave's beloved labrador.
Now, there are more than 700 Raising Cane's restaurants throughout the United States, including locations in Sterling, Charlottesville, and Norfolk.
