Ramah Kirk Coakley, 90

Ramah Kirk Coakley, 90, of Spotsylvania County passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, peacefully at his home.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army who served during World War II. Mr. Coakley was retired from Coca-Cola in Fredericksburg after 35 years. He was a longtime dedicated member of Spotswood Baptist Church.

Mr. Coakley loved his family, working in his yard and helping others.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Katherine Coakley; and a daughter, Carolyn Fines.

Survivors include his daughter Bonnie Ippoliti of Haymarket; son-in-law Fred Fines of Fredericksburg; three grandchildren, Jamie Daley of Spotsylvania, Chasity Carter of Richmond and Brad Daley (Rhonda) of Stafford County; and five great-grandsons, Brandon, Eric, Scott, James and Tyrese.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home chapel. Entombment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Medi Home Hospice, 25 Olde Greenwich Drive, Suite 150, Fredericksburg, VA 22408.
