"(It) gets its name from the red dragon which appears on the national flag of Wales, which has symbolized this Celtic nation for more than a millennium. The brewery is inspired by the owners’ ancestral roots in Ireland, Scotland, England, and in particular, Wales."
On his brewery blog, owner Tom Evans writes that the brewery will be "a place not only to get great craft beer, but a to bring a sense of community to the area. We are a place to come hang up your hat at the end of a long day, to sit and talk to a friend or someone that you never met."
The city's other craft brewery is Spencer Devon Brewing at 106 George Street.
