Ready For Adoption: 2-Year-Old Angus Loves To Show Off His Luxurious Fur Coat

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — While you might think this cat is large and in charge, Angus is actually known for being a mellow-yellow fellow.

This two-year-old is renowned for his love of receiving affection from any human hand available. When he's not coercing your hands into giving more pets, Angus is quite content to lay around lackadaisically.

You may catch him showing off his luxurious fur coat through great, big stretches and rolling on his back after he finds the perfect morning ray of sunshine to plop down onto. This young guy is content to live the good life after already having lived a life full of adventure.

He made the long journey to the Fredericksburg SPCA as a transport from the most recent hurricane in Louisiana.

Angus was one of the first animals to receive an extraction for a broken tooth with the Fredericksburg SPCA's brand new dental equipment thanks to the grant it received from the Prince William Humane Society. He did not complain one bit with the care and love he received via soft food and snuggles from staff and volunteers as he healed post-surgery.

Angus is "feline fine" again and ready to find a new home to call his own in Virginia. If you've always wanted a tame house lion, Angus would make the purrfect addition to your family.

Through Sunday, Oct. 10, the SPCA is participating in the Bissell Pet Foundation's Empty the Shelters event. They will accept applications online and allow for families to schedule a virtual or in-person meet and greet with a pet.
