Rescue Me: Igor May Be A Senior Dog, But He's Really Just A Baby
Igor, a senior dog available for adoption at the Fredericksburg SPCA, loves snacks, snuggling, and carrying around his stuffed animals.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Igor is a senior dog available for adoption through the Fredericksburg. Don't let this 7-year-old's age scare you off; he has plenty of love left to give.
"Igor loves carrying around stuffed animals, snacks & snuggling," the Fredericksburg SPCA told Patch. "He is a laid-back dude who is happy to take a casual stroll and has enjoyed meeting puppies here at the SPCA."
Igor has become a staff favorite at the SPCA. Despite his age, volunteers insist he's just a baby at heart.

"If you've got a pocket full of pepperoni, Igor will be happy to show you 'sit' and 'shake,'" the SPCA said. "He'd even show off his tricks for just a few chest scratches."
Igor is one of several older dogs available for adoption at the Fredericksburg SPCA. These dogs often have trouble getting adopted due to their age, but their extra years can also be a benefit.

"Since they are grown, they are usually calmer, housebroken and there are fewer surprises with their personalities," according to the SPCA. "They have lots of love to pour into a lonely soul."
