Rescue Me: Jonnie The Dog Loves People, Pets, And Pools

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Jonnie, a 7-year-old dog, is available for adoption through the Fredericksburg SPCA. He's friendly, full of love, and ready for a home of his own.

Jonnie has been at the Fredericksburg SPCA in the past, and he was returned to the shelter through no fault of his own.

"Jonnie enjoys the 3 P's: People, Pets, and POOLS! He is a goofy boy with a laundry list of great personality traits," the Fredericksburg SPCA said. "He has done well with other dogs with proper introduction and is a rock star in our playgroups."

SPCA staff noted that Jonnie has some unique characteristics. For example, he snorts when he runs because "he is a little bit chonky," according to the SPCA.

"He snorts like a piggy when he runs," the SPCA said. "We're working on helping him shed some weight, but in the meantime, we can't help but adore his little noises."

Jonnie is already crate trained and house broken, and knows an array of tricks. He's already mastered "sit," "down," and "shake."

"Jonnie has great energy and will keep you motivated during a walk but is also extraordinarily content to snuggle beside you on the couch," the Fredericksburg SPCA said. "This boy radiates so much love - there will be no lonely hearts in his presence!"
