FREDERICSKBURG, VA — Teddy, a dog available for adoption through the Fredericksburg SPCA, has been on a journey. Nowadays, he's missing 26 teeth and has an enlarged heart. To help him find a forever home, the SPCA has waived Teddy's adoption fee.

Despite his medical issues, Teddy still has lots of love to give. He's delighted his foster family and loved playing and cuddling with other dogs in his foster home.

"His foster family reports that his favorite movie is Jurassic Park because he is intrigued by the velociraptor sounds," the Fredericksburg SPCA said. "Don't go in the long grass? Not a rule Ted follows since he loves to go exploring with his foster family! He has been to Shenandoah and loved the skyline view and watching the deer."

In addition to exploring, Teddy also likes to cuddle up with people and get head scratches.

"Our medical team recently found that Ted's coughing was indicative of an enlarged heart and a stage 2 heart murmur," the Fredericksburg SPCA said. "Because of that, we've waived Ted's adoption fee to help find him a family as soon as possible. With heart medication, a dog with his condition can live months to years, but we don't want this sweet boy to waste any more of his precious time without someone to call his own."
