Robber Hits PNC Bank in Stafford: Police
Sheriff's office releases photos of suspect following Friday afternoon heist.

STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — The local police are looking for the man who robbed a bank on Route 1 on Friday afternoon. The heist occurred at 12:53 p.m. at the PNC Bank at 2864 Jefferson Davis Highway, in the Towne Center at Aquia shopping center, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office released two photos of the robber that were taken by the bank's surveillance system. He's described as a black man, 45 to 50 years of age, about 6 feet tall and weighing about 200 pounds. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts. He has black scruffy facial hair and brown eyes, the sheriff's office said. In the photos, the robber appears to be wearing a blue shirt and a navy blue hat.
