Robbery At Stafford Motel 6 Leads To Arrests: Police
Two men face robbery charges after a robbery at a Motel 6 room in Stafford County on Tuesday evening, the sheriff's office said.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — A robbery at a Motel 6 room in Stafford County on Tuesday led to charges for two men, according to the Stafford County Sheriff's Office.
The victim was not seriously injured in the robbery, according to authorities. One of the suspects received medical treatment after a police dog bit him.
The sheriff's office identified the suspects as Robert Cory and Earl Wadlington. Cory is charged with eluding, robbery, breaking and entering and ammunition possession by a felon. Wadlington is charged with assault and battery, robbery, breaking and entering and conspiracy

Both suspects are being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
The robbery occurred at the Motel 6 on Warrenton Road around 8 p.m. on Tuesday, police said. A victim said one man kicked open the door to his motel room and threatened him with a knife while demanding money. A second man stayed outside the room as a lookout, according to authorities.

At an Exxon across the street, one deputy said he saw the suspect who had a knife. The man, who police later identified as Wadlington, was taken into custody. The deputy said they found two knives in his pockets.
Another deputy said they found the other suspect in the Motel 6 parking lot. The suspect, who police later identified as Cory, drove away from the deputy towards Rappahannock Landing, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies found the car abandoned on River Crest Way. A police K-9 responded and tracked Cory towards the river, police said. The dog apprehended Cory in the underbrush near the river, according to the police report.
