Sammy T's Restaurant to Re-Open Early 2017 in Fredericksburg

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Sammy T's restaurant, a fixture in downtown since 1981 until it closed in October, will re-open early next year under new ownership, according to multiple reports.
Three married couples plan to keep the restaurant more or less as it is but also spruce it up with what will be noticeable renovations, as well as tweaking the menu by keeping much of the vegetarian fare but adding new options.
The building at 801 was constructed in 1805 and had a variety of carnations before being bought in 1980 by Mary Washington College geography professor Samuel T. Emory.

All the owners are from the area, and include Ray and his wife, Laura, Al and Rena Littek and Frank and Ana Robinson.
