Sandra Claudette Hayes, 68, of Spotsylvania County, died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2014, at her home with her beloved dog, Balto, by her side.
She loved her dogs, spending time with her grandchildren, gardening and bird watching.
Ms. Hayes is survived by her son, Randall D. Hayes (Renee) of Ashburn; daughter Lori Payne (Dean) of Spotsylvania; grandchildren, Travis A. and Kacey N. Payne, Alexandra V. and Austin M. Hayes; brother Elton Lee Frank of Melbourne, Florida; sister Frances M. Frank of Dumfries.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Elton and Byerl Bridges Frank.
