Santa Claus To Arrive At Spotsylvania Towne Centre On Saturday
Spotsylvania Towne Centre plans to celebrate the arrival of Santa Claus and the coming holiday season with a parade on Saturday morning.
FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Santa Claus is returning to Spotsylvania Towne Centre. To celebrate the occasion, the mall plans to host a small parade in the parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 13.
The parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, near the post office entrance. After the conclusion of the parade, families will be able to enter the mall to take photos with Santa.
"Escorted by the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Department and riding in a specially decorated old-fashioned trolley, you’ll be able to greet Santa from your vehicle," the mall said on their website. "We’ll have individually packaged candies and prizes to give away to participants."

This year, Santa will still be taking some precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19. The mall said Santa plans to wear a face shield while talking to children, but it will be removed for photos. Children will also not be allowed to sit on Santa's lap, though they will still be able to share their Christmas lists and wishes.
The Santa photo booth at Spotsylvania Towne Centre will be open from Nov. 13 to Dec. 24. Until Dec. 3, the booth will be open from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturdays, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays. From Dec. 6 to Dec. 24, the booth will be open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.
