Santa Claus To Tour Fredericksburg With Police Escort This Week

Santa Claus will ride around Fredericksburg this week with an escort from the police department, making stops and greeting children.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Santa Claus will be touring Fredericksburg on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday this week, with an escort from local law enforcement.

Each night, Santa will visit a handful of stops around the city for about 10 minutes. The tours will occur twice each night: once beginning at 5 p.m. and again at 8 p.m.

The Fredericksburg Police Department urges residents to arrive early to save their spot. Authorities also want residents to make sure that they are staying out of the roadway, wearing bright clothing, and considering holding a flashlight or a glow stick.

"Like any public event, pay attention to your surroundings and report any suspicious activity to the police," the police department said. "If you see something suspicious, say something."
