Storm Threat in Fredericksburg Tuesday Afternoon

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for the Northern Virginia region, including Fredericksburg, for this afternoon and evening.

According to the NWS, scattered thunderstorms are in the forecast and possess the potential to develop into severe storms by the time they arrive.

“Damaging wind gusts and large hail are the primary threats,” the NWS warned residents in its weather outlook.

The forecast in Fredericksburg says there is a 30-50 percent chance of rain from 2-7 p.m. before the chance of rain drops to 10-20 percent.
