School Closing/Delay Info for Fredericksburg Region

Some area students will get another snow day on Friday — nearly a week after up to 2 feet of snow fell on the area.

Fredericksburg City Public Schools will be on a two hour delay for Friday, January 29, 2016. Check for updates.

Stafford County Public Schools will be closed for students on Friday, January 29, 2016. Schools will open on a two-hour delay on Friday for teachers to work with no leave assessed, in the event conditions prevent teachers from attending.

The School Board will have a meeting on Friday morning, January 29, 2016, at 8:00 a.m. to discuss and determine if Monday, February 1, 2016, will be a regular school day rather than a teacher work day. At that time, the end of the semester and report card distribution dates will be announced.

Friday and weekend activities and events will be held or adjusted as needed, information pertaining to specific events will be on school and division web pages.

Spotsylvania County Public Schools: Should schools be open on Friday, January 29, there will NOT be an early release. We will continue to monitor road conditions and provide an update later today regarding Friday. Check for updates.

As a reminder, Monday, February 1 is a make-up day for January 22 and will be a B-day for Middle and High schools.
