FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Appearances being everything, the Fredericksburg Police Department is in the tank for James Monroe High School athletics.

One small slice of it, anyway.

Police announced Tuesday that one of their patrol cars, this one designated as the School Resource Officer vehicle, has a paint job with various symbols related to the school and its Yellow Jackets nickname.

The hood has a large JM logo, the rear has a rendering of the Yellow Jacket mascot and the front bumper is emblazoned with the school's TCB rallying cry initials, which stand for "Taking Care of Business."

Said School Resource Officer P. Dooley: "The City of Fredericksburg is unique in the fact that we only have one high school (and) this vehicle is the perfect symbol of our city's school pride and team spirit; it's something we can rally around."
