School Supply Drives: Stuff the Cruiser a Success

Spotsylvania County Sheriff Roger Harris is thanking the community for a successful “Stuff the Cruiser” campaign at the Southpoint Walmart on Aug. 2. The event included filling the Sheriff’s Office mobile command unit with supplies for needy students preparing for the new school year.

“Thanks to the support of W. J. Vakos & Co., Walmart and the incredible generosity of so many of our citizens who showed up to contribute to our Stuff the Cruiser drive, we couldn’t fit all the school supplies we collected into one cruiser,” said Harris in a statement.

“Using the Mobile Command Unit is now a must at our collection events,” he said. “Otherwise we would have easily exceeded filling more than six cruisers!”
