Scott Lee McDaniel, 47

Scott Lee McDaniel, 47, of Fredericksburg, passed away Thursday, October 9, 2014 at Spotsylvania Regional Medical Center due to complications from surgery.

Mr. McDaniel was a former Green Bay, WI resident who had resided in Virginia the past seven years. He was a very loving and kind hearted man who would do anything at the drop of a hat if he thought it would help someone out. He was a very hardworking man who held several jobs including his own detailing business.

He was born on September 22, 1967 to the late Joanne M. McDaniel and James E. McDaniel. He was a “die hard” Chicago Bears fan and loved his music. He also loved spending time with his first grandchild Julian, his loving fiancée Cindy Saylor, her girls, Nikki and Sierra, and his many new friends he made in Virginia.

Survivors include his children, Mariah, Olivia, and Dakota McDaniel; brother Keith Ossello (Melody), sisters Sherry Ball, Debbie Jakim (Ray), and Cindy Rezek (Bob); nephews Bobby, Dominic, and Christopher; nieces Joanne, Rebecca, Lisa, and Harmony; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins, and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his brother James Ian McDaniel.

A service will be held at 2 pm Wed, October 15 at Covenant Funeral Service Fredericksburg Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
