Sexual Assault Charge Filed Against Orthopedic Specialist From Spotsylvania: Police
A man from Spotsylvania was arrested on Friday after he was accused of sexual assault while working as an orthopedic surgery specialist.
SPOTSYLVANIA COUNTY, VA — Virginia State Police arrested Michael O'Brien, a 66-year-old man, on Friday. Authorities claimed that O'Brien sexually assaulted someone while working as an orthopedic surgery specialist in the Fredericksburg area.
Authorities searched O'Brien's house in Spotsylvania County on Friday. Officers arrested him without incident, according to the police report.
State police and the FBI began investigating O'Brien in January. Authorities said "allegations of sexual assault" initiated the investigation. They did not specify any details about the assault.

O'Brien faces one county of felony forcible sodomy. He is being held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
