Shop Owner Confronts Burglar Caught in the Act

The owner of Magic Bullet Skateboards arrived to find the burglary in progress, according to Fredericksburg Police Department.

The owner of a downtown shop caught a burglar in the act early Sunday, wrestling with the suspect before he eventually fled with merchandise and cash, according to Fredericksburg Police.

The owner of Magic Bullet Skateboards had returned to the store at 12:45 a.m. Sunday to pick up something he had forgotten. He reportedly found the unknown male suspect in the business, placing items in a large bag.

The owner confronted the man and the suspect reportedly pulled out a pocket knife. The men scuffled, according to police, with the suspect placing his hands around the shop owner’s neck before fleeing out the front door.

The suspect reportedly took merchandise, cleaned out the cash register and even took money from a skate park donation box, according to a Facebook post from Magic Bullet Records and Skateboards.

Police describe the suspect as a white male in his 20s, approximately 5’5” and 150 pounds, with short brown hair and slight facial hair.

The shop owner had a more colorful description in the Facebook post:

“So if you see a 5’5” white male with bald head, an orange bag, a pair of the size 10 Janoski Max, two sets of Ventures, a set of 51mm Type S wheels, a set 54 mm Bones STFs, and a purple iPod mini... Call the cops.”
