Shoplifters Stole $8,761 In Items From Stafford Kohl's: Police
Four people from New York were arrested on Saturday in Stafford County after authorities said they shoplifted 66 items worth $8,761.
STAFFORD COUNTY, VA — Four suspected shoplifters from New York were arrested in Stafford on Saturday, the county's sheriff's office said. Authorities claimed the group stole 66 items worth $8,761 from Kohl's.
Authorities identified the suspects as Angel Chacon Lopex, Yuniorlys Gil Planchar, Dubraska Duque Maita, and Robert Lopez Cedeno. Each suspect was charged with felony conspiracy and possession of stolen goods. Chacon Lopex and Gil Planchar faced additional charges for larceny.
All four suspects were held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Around 9 p.m. on Saturday, Stafford deputies were on an anti-shoplifting detail at Stafford Market Place. Kohl's employees told the deputies that two suspects stole dozens of bottles of cologne and perfume and drove away in a small black car, according to the police report.
A Stafford County deputy said they found a vehicle matching the description less than a mile away with four occupants inside.

"While conversing with the driver, deputies observed a fresh bottle of Chanel Bleu next to him," the Stafford County Sheriff's Office said in a police report. "The driver, in an unexpectedly honest mood, confirmed he stole it from the Kohl’s moments ago."
In total, shoplifters stole 66 items, the police report said.
"Talking with the suspects it was discovered they were traveling from New York down to North Carolina and attempting to shoplift from numerous stores along the way," the sheriff's office said. "Their GPS revealed their next target was in Fredericksburg."
Deputies took the suspects to the Rappahannock Regional Jail on Saturday. Their next court date is scheduled for Jan. 16.
