Showers Sprinkled Throughout Final Week of Summer: NWS Forecasts

As the calendar turns to September and Labor Day draws near, a handful of rain storms are scattered throughout this week's forecast.

After a string of sunny weekends in the month of August, Fredericksburg will usher in the month of September with a rainy week ahead.

Showers are in the forecast on Monday and Wednesday of this week. The chance for thunderstorms will present itself throughout the week, and temperatures are expected to rise back up to the high-80’s and low-90’s.

Monday: A chance of showers, mainly between noon and 2 p.m. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 88. Southwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Monday night: Patchy fog after 5 a.m. Otherwise, partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Southwest wind 3 to 5 mph.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 11 a.m. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Light and variable wind.

Tuesday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 70. Calm wind.

Wednesday: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 90. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Wednesday night: A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 92.

Thursday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 69.

Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 68.
