'Shut Up and Dance' Mashup Meets It's Match

The band Walk the Moon has hit the top of the charts with the hot throwback track “Shut Up and Dance” this spring. So, it’s only fitting that a similarly nostalgic video mashup is going viral with every movie dance scene you ever loved, liked, hated or didn’t even know existed.

Yep, they’re all here, courtesy of YouTube user MsTabularasa.

But, before all of Hollywood got together for a dance-a-thon, Fredericksburg was getting the whole town shaking (and smiling) last spring to Pharrell’s ”Happy.”

Organizer Melvin Brown of VideoMann Productions spoke with the Free Lance Star at the time.

“I would walk down the street and pop my head in stores, and people were just so happy. All the energy and joy gives me chills just thinking of it,” Brown told the paper. “I loved bringing everyone together, and my one hope is that the happiness isn’t forgotten and never goes away.”

Amen. Dance on, Fredericksburg. Show ‘em how it’s done.
