Skimming Device Suspected At Stafford BB&T Branch
More than 30 fraud reports have been filed since Sunday by BB&T customers who used an ATM in Stafford; a skimming device is suspected.

STAFFORD, VA — More than 30 fraud reports have been filed since Sunday by BB&T customers who used the ATM machine at the bank's Chatham Heights Road branch, 375 Chatham Heights Road, and the Stafford County Sheriff's office believes a skimming device is the culprit.
Police says such a device was illegally placed on the ATM machine, and whoever put it there was able to obtain personal account information. The devices read and save the user's card number and pin code, which is then replicated into a counterfeit copy for theft. (For more local news, click here to sign up for real-time news alerts.
