A Fredericksburg woman was bitten by a small copperhead snake just inside the Longhorn Steakhouse in Spotsylvania: multiple reports.

MASSAPONAX, VA — A Fredericksburg woman was bitten by a small copperhead snake Sept. 12 just inside the Longhorn Steakhouse at 10012 Southpoint Parkway, according to multiple media reports. Rachel Myrick was hospitalized for several days and treated with anti-venom medication. She told WTOP she initially thought she had been stung by a bee until she reached down and saw the snake before shaking it off her.
"It hit the floor between my son, Dylan, and my boyfriend, Mike (Clem)," she told the radio station. "Both of them instantaneously stepped on it, stepped on its head and killed it right in that foyer area."
Myrick remains in considerable pain, and doctors told her a full recovery will take at least a couple of months.
