Solarize Virginia: Workshop Thursday in Fredericksburg

Solar power, solar panels and solar everything will be the topic at Salem Church Library.

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Solar power will be the topic at a meeting Thursday among home owners and business owners looking to possibly outfit their establishments with sun-powered energy sources.

According to a release from Solarize Virginia, the session will "help you determine whether solar panels are a smart choice for your home or business and provide information on equipment, potential cost savings, tax incentives, and special financing."

The free hour-long meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. at Salem Church Library.

The program is headed, in part, by the Charlottesville-based nonprofit Local Energy Alliance Program.

Residents of Fredericksburg, Caroline, King George, Spotsylvania and Stafford are eligible for free site assessments.
