Southern Style Chicken And Waffle Restaurant Comes To Fredericksburg This Fall

FREDERICKSBURG, VA — Southern Style Chicken and Waffle plans to open a Fredericksburg location in the coming months, the local chain told Patch.

A banner saying the restaurant is "coming soon" is now posted at the former Primo Pizza location in the Salem Fields Shopping Center.

The company did not specify when exactly the new restaurant would open.

"That location is coming soon," the company said in an email. They noted that the new facility could open in about a month and a half.

Southern Style Chicken and Waffle currently operates restaurants in Washington, D.C., Springfield, Manassas, and District Heights in Maryland. The Fredericksburg location will be their fifth restaurant.

On their website, the chicken and waffle chain says its experienced chefs pride themselves on the customer experience.

"We refuse to compromise on quality in our restaurant," the website says. "That's why we source our fresh ingredients from local farmers markets. No matter what time of year, you can be sure you're eating the best of the season."
