Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office Seeking Information Regarding Attempted Purse Thefts

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance via its Facebook page as it aims to apprehend one or more suspects linked to attempted thefts in the parking lot of the Spotsylvania Town Center on Monday evening.

The Facebook post states the suspect (or suspects) made attempts to take multiple female shoppers’ purses during evening hours on Monday. The sheriff’s department has the following information regarding the case:

Victims described two incidents in which the suspect was a teenage black female, 5-foot-6 and 170 pounds, wearing tank tops and possibly associated with an older white four-door vehicle.
